Ticketmaster's president has acknowledged "stuck transfers" following a ticket delivery failure last Friday, raising new concerns over the company's reliability. A separate report pointed to the disruption as proof the risk that comes with depending on a single ticketing platform.
The trouble comes as a reseller listing a Bruno Mars ticket said she was taken by surprise by the fees Ticketmaster added on top of her listed price. Rival SeatGeek, meanwhile, introduced a new tool called TourIQ, a data-driven pricing feature aimed at live event sellers, presenting itself as a competitor at a time when trust in Ticketmaster continues to erode.
